You can delete your sozy account and all associated data at any time. We follow the process below for every request, regardless of how you signed up or which platforms you connected.
How to request deletion
Email hello@sozy.app from the address on your account, with the subject line “data deletion request”. Include any additional accounts you want deleted (e.g., a second connected social handle).
We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account and login credentials
- All listings you have ever created
- All renders, carousels, captions, and hashtags you have generated
- Brand-profile information
- Connected social-platform tokens (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) — these are revoked immediately
- Stored photos and uploaded images
What we keep, and why
A few items are retained briefly to comply with law or to operate the service. None of these are used to contact you or build a profile of you:
- Billing records — kept for up to 7 years for tax and accounting compliance.
- Anonymized aggregate metrics — counts of renders, error rates, etc., with no link to you personally.
- Backups — automated database backups may contain your data for up to 30 days before they expire and are destroyed.
Disconnecting a single social account
If you only want to disconnect Instagram, TikTok, or LinkedIn from sozy (not delete your whole account), you can do that from the platform itself by removing sozy from your authorized apps. The token is invalidated immediately and we delete our copy on the next request.
